Adventure Inc - Episode 22 - Trapped

Overview: With no way out, the Adventure Inc. team must quickly decipher the unknown when they are ambushed by an unidentified foe that will stop at nothing to recover a dead man's treasure.

Synopsis by Tribune 2003

Judson, Mackenzie, and Gabriel are visiting their friend Florence Minguet (Alice Taglioni) at her father's remote chateau. Suddenly, the group witnesses a stranger run through the chateau and out into the backyard right before he is shot dead by two pursuers, Derek Bourne (Serge Dupire) and Laurent Bradette (Carlos Leal). The Adventure Inc. team and Florence are baffled when they find the house untouched and the man dead outside with no one else around.

Nearby, Laurent and Derek search for the $50 million item they had hoped to find on the dead man. When they realize that the man must have hidden it in the chateau, they call in the rest of their highly organized team to find it, while they prepare to destroy any who get in their way. When our group finds their phones and cars rendered useless, they begin to ready themselves for an attack. Soon after, the team watches in horror as an approaching mailman gets shot to death before their eyes and realize they're trapped as his car's tires are also shot out. Attempting to piece the puzzle together, Judson concludes that their unknown enemies must be trying to find something that the dead man hid in the chateau before he was shot.

Having run a background check on Judson's car, Laurent and Derek try to lure the group out of the house by addressing Judson with peaceful negotiations. When the group does not respond, the two men, met by their group of reinforcements, close in on the chateau. In a sudden shoot out, Judson manages to fight off the small group of agents to buy time as Gabriel arms the chateau doors with electricity and Mac makes some homemade bombs. Once the house is secure, the group searches around for the item that has been hidden while Gabriel attempts to intercept communication between the agents by tuning into their radio frequency. Gabriel is successful. He and Mac tune in just in time to hear 'the Icarus disc' mentioned. Listening further, they find that this is the item hidden within the house, but only a visibly concerned Mac seems to know what it is.

Before she can explain, the agents begin firing in on the group and the Adventure Inc. team reacts quickly. Again, the team manages to fend off their attackers and all is quiet until they hear a scream from Florence. Judson and Gabe run to the next room to find Florence gone, taken hostage by the agents. Mac then explains that the Icarus disk lists all western intelligence agents and their locations around the world, including retired agents, one of whom she is herself.

The team devises a plan to rescue Florence by creating a diversion, and successfully save her from being shot by Derek. While Gabriel works to repair Judson's car, Mac and Judson engage in a brutal fight with the agents, finally defeating them. Once Judson's car has been fixed, Florence agrees to drive to safety and call the police. Meanwhile, Judson suddenly realizes where the disk must be, and the Adventure Inc. team returns to the chateau to retrieve it.

As they cautiously enter the chateau, Mac and Gabe follow Judson to a stereo in the living room where he finds the micro-disk, just as Derek finds them. With his gun pointed at the group, he forces them to hand over the disk. When Mac throws the disk wide, Derek lunges to catch it and Mac fires but misses as Derek runs out of the house. Though Gabe manages to catch up to Derek, he is suddenly disarmed by the agent. Just as Derek attempts to shoot Gabe, Judson saves him by shooting Derek first. Judson retrieves the Icarus disk from Derek's pocket and hands it to Mac who later destroys it, saving herself and countless others.
