Title: Grabbing The Brass Ring
Awesome story! Great plot and marvellous portrait of the characters. Also, I loved its lenght. There aren?t so many novellas which is a format I seriously love. So thanks a lot. I must, however, ask you please, please, please do not write something like this never again. It was tremendously upsetting read about the torture heaped on Chris by Espinoza siblings. I know, it?s fiction and it was done in answer to fan?s demands. And I truly admire your skill to weave all the pain, grief and shame that Chris suffered cause of his kidnapping and torture in a comprehensive and deeply moving tale. It was really portentous, I swear. I love dive in the psychological intrincacies of the stories and characters and you so gratifyly brought these to surface that it was a real delight read about it. But I would love you so much more if you?ll never write another story with rape in it. Or at least no one so graphical. :-P
Seriously, you did create a scenary so real and you did it with so flawlesly skill that would be impossible not live it at full. And so I was really really upset for it however how much I enjoyed ths story.
Also, you must had give a fair warning to us the sensitive hearts at the beginning of the story. I know you said about more injuries and tortures but I naively thought it not included rape.
Nevertheless I loved your tale and enjoyed it very much. I love the almost magical connection and the special interaction between Chris and Vin and you showed each so marvelously. Besides how they work together to pass all the ugliness of rape and torture. The bit about rape victims physological therapy was very interesting and enlightening. Too, the sex scene when Chris is back in home from the hospital was so beautiful. And Vin?s tenderness and patience so very touching. The way in which Vin talked to Chris with his hands and the way in which Chris did relax his fear and tension under Vin?s ministrations were really beautiful to read about. And then when Chris was kidnapped again and all the matter of he wanting kill Vin to revenge his team was so intense! I was on tenterhooks all the time. It was great! Espinoza?s mind was truly evil and he was a OMC so fascinating in a seriously twisted way. The way in which you turn the plot based on his machinations to destroy Chris was awesome. I?m in awe of you!
Also, I loved the OMC of the hired assasin. And how he offed Espinoza, of course. It was supremely gratifyly. Although I would had prefered Vin had had a go at him... with a hunter knife... a big big hunter knife. Ah, well!
Hey, are you thinking in a sequel? Maybe one in which that hired assasin come back? (Hint, hint) Not to kill Chris and Vin or the Team 7, of course. I hope. (Again: hint, hint). I would like very much read a sequel in which the boys wouldn?t be so harassed for twisted rapist psyco villains and they could enjoy his life and work together... (Shamelessly hinting here).
Anyway, thanks for a very good though upsetting reading.
