John was just getting out of his truck, when he saw the red Cadillac pull into the parking. He gets a day off and he still comes here, John told himself.

"Hey partner, I hear you get to work with Officer Tamiya today. Remember the last time you two were together," said Sean smiling.

"Didn't the captain give you today off?" John asked walking up the sidewalk.

"He did, but my plans changed. I was spending the day with Nick but Jake is taking him to Oahu to go fishing out on the boat. So I thought I would spend the day with Max," replied Sean opening the door.

"Is she still mad after that last incident?" Asked John smiling.

"You mean the torpedoes? Oh yeah, she's not as mad as she was, but do you know how it feels to have the bedroom door shut in your face?" Sean asked walking through the door.

"You mean she wouldn't let you in?" Stated John following Sean.

"I had to sleep on the sofa," replied Sean frowning.

"Oh man, I feel sorry for you," said John smiling.

Sean and John walked into the squad room and sat down at their desks.

"I thought that when you got the day off, that means you stay home," yelled Chris walking in behind Danny.

"Sean, what are you doing here? You asked for this day off to spend time with Nick," questioned Harada.

"He wanted to go fishing with Jake. I couldn't tell him no," said Sean.

"He's not staying, he's going to meet Max later," said John smiling.

"Captain, can I talk to you a minute?" Sean asked following Harada into his office.

"So what do you want to talk about?" Asked Harada sitting down at his desk.

"I have been thinking about that the unsolved murder of Judge Logan. I feel like I owe it to him to find out who killed him. If it hadn't been for him, I could be the one sitting in prison, instead of being the one to put them in prison," said Sean looking at Harada.

"I'll give you the file, but I want you to be careful in this one. You might want to check with his clerk at the courthouse. When she was questioned she said that the judge had been getting a lot of death threats. His clerk can also tell you what cases he was handling," said Harada handing the file to Sean.

"I'll be careful and thanks," said Sean walking out the door.

"What time are you suppose to meet Max?" John asked walking toward Sean.

"Sometime after four. She said that she had a board meeting and then she'll come over to the beachouse," replied Sean sitting down at his desk.

"Who is that file on?" John asking Sean.

"Judge Logan, he was found dead in his chambers. No one knows who did it either," answered Sean looking at the file.

"Is he the one that changed your life?" Asked John.

"I feel like I owe him, to try and find out who killed him," replied Sean.

"So where do we start at?" Asked John looking at Sean.

"The captain suggested talking to his clerk about the cases that he was involved with," replied Sean walking out the door.

"Okay, I've seen that look of yours before. What are you thinking?" John asked closing the car door.

"I was trying to remember something that I saw in the local papers. It had to do with this judge. Call Linh and have her check all the papers for the last two weeks," said Sean pulling out of the parking lot.

"Max, I put your breakfast on the table," said Miranda with an odd look on her face.

"I'll be right out," yelled Max from the bedroom.

"What happened here? Max, did you sleep on the sofa last night?" Miranda asked looking at the sofa.

"No I didn't, but Sean did," answered Max coming out of the bedroom.

"Why did Sean sleep on the sofa?" Miranda asking Max.

"Because I was mad at him," replied Max picking up the coffee cup.

"For what reason?" Asked Miranda folding the blanket.

"He could of gotten hurt when that torpedo exploded, but he acted like it was nothing," replied Max.

"Max's, he's a cop. He's expected to take chances like that," Miranda explained.

"I know, but I don't want anything to happen to him," replied Max looking at Miranda.

"You need to call him and tell him you're sorry," said Miranda picking up the phone.

"He's off today, so I'm going over there later okay. So I'll tell him then," replied Max smiling at Miranda.

"You better tell him," stated Miranda walking away from Max.

"I'm going to tell him," said Max smiling.

"Linh, have you found anything in the papers?" Kaleo asked sitting down at the desk.

"So far I haven't found anything. Is Sean certain he saw it in the papers?" Linh asked looking at the screen of the computer.

"That's what John told me on the phone. Sean thinks that he saw something in the papers," replied Kaleo.

"Okay, so I'll go back to the first of the month and start there," replied Linh.

"He didn't say what it was he saw?" Kaleo asked.

"No!...but I may have found something. It's in the Honolulu Sun. I had to go back two months. It has to do with the arrest of a known crime boss. It says that he was arrested for racketeering by local federal agents. He was scheduled to appear in court this week," said Linh.

"Linh, does it say who the judge is, that's hearing the case?" Asked Harada looking at Linh.

"It says that Judge James Logan will be the presiding judge in the case," stated Linh looking up.

"Danny and Chris, I want you to go talk to the judge's wife and find out what you can," said Harada going back into his office.

"Do we have an address for the judge?" Asked Chris walking around the room.

"Here's the judges address," replied Kaleo giving it to Danny.

Honolulu Federal Court House/ Judge Logan's office

"Sean, why is it so importent for you to find out who killed this judge? He's was a federal judge, so let the Fed's find his killer," remarked John opening the car door.

"I have to find out who killed him. He really had an effect on my life. I was sixteen when I became involved with this gang. Shortly after that I was arrested for some petty things. He gave me an option, I could go to prison or join the military," said Sean opening the door.

"So you feel that he did you a favor, so you feel like you should find his killer?" John asked following Sean.

"Yes I do. The judge's office is down this hallway," said Sean turning to the right.

"Will his clerk still be here?" John asked.

"I hope so," replied Sean opening the door and walking in.

"I don't see anyone," Said John looking around.

"Can I help you?" Asked the young man walking into the room.

"I'm Detective Harrison and he's Detective Declan. We need to ask you some questions about the judge?" Sean asking the man.

"I don't know how much I can tell you about him. I just started working for him six months ago," replied he man.

"Do you remember if he was going to be presiding over any federal cases in the next few weeks?" Sean asked.

"Let me check his calender. It says here that he was to be the presiding judge in a federal case starting June first, but he's made a note to himself. Either I will or Judge Miller will," replied the clerk.

"Was there a reason for him to write that?" Asked John.

"He has been thinking about stepping down from the bench. He told me that he has been a judge for forty years. He wasn't sure if he wanted to hear this case or not," said the man.

"Has the judge received any death threats or any kind of a warning in the last month?" Declan asked.

"No, he hasn't," answered the clerk.

"If you should remember anything, call me at this number," said Sean handing him the card.

"Now what do we do?" Asked John walking out of the office.

"Back to the station, I need to find out if Linh found anything in the papers," replied Sean walking down the steps.

"This is Lee, two detectives were here asking questions about the judge's upcoming cases," said the clerk.

"Who were they?" Asked the man on the other end of the phone.

"Harrison and Declan. Do you know them?" Asked the clerk.

"I've heard of Harrison, but not the other one. Thanks," replied the man on the phone.

"Who was that?" Asked the man smoking a cigar.

"That was Lee from the judge's office. Two cops named Harrison and Declan were asking him some question's," replied the man standing in front of the desk.

"Take a some men with you. You know what to do," said the man staring out the window.

Honolulu Metro Police Dept.

"That was really interesting visit," said Danny walking into the office.

"Did you understand some of the things that she said?" Chris asked walking over to Linh's desk.

"What are you two talking about?" Linh asked.

"The judge's wife, we asked her if he had received any kind of threats against his life," said Danny looking frustrated.

"She told us no, then she told us that he had been receiving several threats in the last few weeks," replied Danny.

"It was like she was afraid to tell us," said Chris.

"Linh, did you find anything?" Sean asked walking in the door.

"I found something, I printed it out for you. Here's what I found," replied Linh giving the file to Sean.

"What is it?" Asked John sitting down in the chair.

"A couple months ago, the feds decide to crack down on some of the gangs on the island. They targeted two of the larger ones on the island. They got the leader of one, but the other was able to get off the island. The judge's name was in the paper. He was to hear the case," said Sean looking at the file.

"Do you think this guy had the judge killed?" He asked.

"Yeah I do, but the trial will still go ahead as scheduled. It just means that Judge Miller will be on the bench," stated Sean looking at his watch.

"Why are you looking at your watch? You didn't forget that you were meeting Max, did you?" John asking.

"No, I have to get there before she does," replied Sean .

Sean's beachouse at Waikiki

"He's not here yet," said Max putting the key in the lock and opening the door.

Max walked into the living room and sat down on the table what she was carrying. I'll put this in the refrigerator till later, she thought laying the bottle on the shelf. This is definitely Sean's place, she told herself picking up the shirts off the sofa. I need to have Miranda come over and clean for him. That must be him, Max told herself hearing a car turn into the driveway.

Sean had just turned into the driveway when he saw the car sitting there. I should of known that she would be early, Sean told himself getting out of the car. He walked up to the sidewalk to the door. He could smell her perfume as he started to open the door. Sean didn't hear the man walking up from behind him.

"This is for you, Harrison. Declan is next," said the man shooting Sean twice. Sean fell against the opened door and then on to the floor. Max turned at the sound of the noise coming from the room.

"Sean, is that you?" She asked walking into the room.

"Max," cried Sean in a faint voice.

Max slowly walked further into the room. Then she heard what sounded like her name.

"Max!" Cried Sean closing his eyes.

Once again she thought she heard her name. Then she saw Sean's hand laying there next to the opened door.

"Sean," replied Max walking to the door.

Max looked down to see Sean laying there in a pool of blood. She reached for the phone and tried to dial the number, but her hands were shaking. She tried again.

"This is Officer Kaleo, can I help you?" Kaleo asked.

"I need help, Sean has been shot and he's not moving," screamed Max sitting on the floor holding Sean's head in her lap.

Honolulu Metro Police Dept.

"Kaleo, what's the matter?" Linh asked walking over to his desk.

"I just had a 911 call. All I got was a women screaming that she needed help and then the phone went dead," replied Kaleo.

"Did you check the locator to see where the call came from?" Asked Linh.

"I did, but it's still searching for the address," said Kaleo.

"She didn't tell you a name?" Asked Linh.

"Linh, the locator has an address on that call," replied Kaleo.

"Kaleo, the dispatcher called me about that 911 call. Do you have anything on the locator that says where the call from?" Asked the captain.

"It just came up on the screen. That call came from a 1010 Waikiki Rd," said Kaleo looking at the captain.

"Kaleo, are you sure about that address?" John asked.

"It's says 1010 Waikiki Rd," stated Kaleo.

"John, do you know who lives there?" Asked Harada.

"That's Sean new address, he lives there. He was meeting Max there. She had to be the woman screaming for help. That means something has happened to Sean," yelled John running out the door.

"Kaleo, call dispatch have them send officers to Sean's house. You two follow Declan," yelled Harada.

"Captain, I had an ambulance sent to his house," replied Kaleo.

"Linh, you come with me. If that was Max. We don't know what's happened and I need someone that can talk to her," said Harada running out the door.

Sean's house on Waikiki Rd.

"Sean, you have to be able to hear me. You can't die. You have to think about Nick. You can't leave him all alone. You told him that you would always be there for him. Sean, you have to fight, do you hear me. You can't leave me, not now," cried Max as the tears fell from her face.

"Max! You have to warn John... he's next," whispered Sean who was barely breathing.

"I'll tell him, you have to lay still and don't try to talk any more," cried Max still holding Sean.

John turned into the driveway. He jumped out of his truck and started slowly around the front of the truck. Danny and Chris were behind him with their guns pulled.

"Chris, you come in from the beach side. Danny you back me up. We are going in through the front door," said John slowly moving toward the door.

"Is someone out there," yelled Max sitting on the floor.

"Max, is that you? Are you alone?" Asked John standing outside of the door.

"There's no one else here, but Sean and me. Someone shot Sean," cried Max.

John moved in front of the door, where Sean was laying on the floor.

"Oh my god, Sean, Danny I need some towels. We have to try and stop the bleeding," yelled John kneeling down by Sean. Danny handed John the towel, who applied pressure to stop the bleeding.

"John, the paramedics are here. Max, who did this?" Chris asked kneeling down by Max.

"I don't know. I was on the balcony when I heard the door open. I knew it was Sean so I walked back into the room. I had just came through the doorway when I heard the sound of someone falling. As I got closer, I saw Sean's hand laying by the door and then I saw Sean laying there on the floor. I tried to stop the bleeding, but I couldn't," cried Max her hands covered in Sean's blood.

"Max, the paramedics need to get in to help Sean. Give me your hand," said John helping Max off the floor.

"Max!" said Sean looking at her.

"I didn't forget, I'll tell him," replied Max leaning down to kiss Sean on the forehead.

"Whoever did this, told Sean that you were next," said Max looking at John.

Harada and Linh were running up the sidewalk as the paramedics were taking Sean out of the house.

"Is he going to make it?" Asked Harada looking at Sean on the gurney.

"We don't know," said the first paramedic.

"He's lost a lot of blood, we have a pulse but it's real faint. He has two bullets in him. One in the chest and one in his abdomen. We have to hurry, he's being med-evac to the hospital," said the other paramedic closing the doors.

Harada stood there watching as the ambulance drove off. He could still hear the sound of the siren as he walked back to the house. He saw the investigators were already looking for any possible signs of evidence. Harper looked up to see the captain looking at her.

"There has to be something here. He's had to have touched something. If there's anything here we'll find it," said Harper with a sad tone in her voice.

"I know you will," replied Harada walking through the door.

"Captain, someone needs to let Jake know," said Chris looking at the captain.

"Sean said that Jake was taking Nick to Oahu," stated John.

"Danny, go back to the station and get Steve to fly you to Oahu. Tell him to fly you back to the hospital," said the captain.

"Captain, I'm taking Max to the hospital," said Linh.

"Linh, did Max get hurt?" Asked Harada looking at the blood on Max.

"Max didn't get hurt, that's Sean's blood," replied Linh following Max out the door.

"John, you know what Sean was working on. Take Chris with you and start asking questions. Find Kenny, he may be able to help you," said Harada Taking his phone out of his pocket and dialing a number.

"Can I help you?" Asked the voice on the phone.

"This is Harada, I need to speak to Thomas," said the captain.

"What can I do for you, Terry." Asked Thomas.

"I know that you recently arrested one of the big bosses on the island and charged him with racketeering. I want to know what happened and does Judge Logan's death have something to do with it?" Asked Harada with a stone look on his face.

"I can't tell you anything Terry, I'm sorry," replied Thomas.

"Robert, you need to listen to what I have to say. A hit has been put out on two of my men. One of them is fighting for his life right now. I'm sure that I could find something from the past that the bureau would like to know about you. Do you understand what I'm saying?" Asked Harada.

"I think so, I'll come to your office in a half hour," replied Thomas hanging up the phone.

"Harper, I have to go back to the station. When your done lock the door behind you," said Harada walking to his car.

A House on Kalaua Rd

"John are you sure this is the street that Kenny lives on?" Chris asked looking at the different house.

"This is the street that Kenny told Sean that he lived on. I was right, there's his daughter playing in front of that house," said John pulling over to the side of the street.

John and Chris got out of the truck and started up the sidewalk.

"Hi, is your daddy home? We need to talk to him?" John asked the little girl.

"He's in the house," she replied.

"Thank you," said Chris walking up to the house. Chris and John stood in front of the door. John opened the screen door and knocked on the door.

Kenny opened the door and stood there looking at John and Chris.

"Aren't you Sean's partner? What do you want?" Asked Kenny.

"We need to talk to you, about this new guy in town. We've heard that he is trying to take over, if you know what we mean," said John looking at Kenny.

"Come in, I don't know what I can tell you. After Sean found my daughter, I promised him that I would stay away from the gangs," said Kenny sitting down in the chair.

"Have you heard anything about a contract being put out on anyone?" Chris asked.

"I don't know anything about a hit being put out. I did hear something about the murder of that judge. This new guy wanted him dead. Who was the hit on?" Kenny asked.

"The hit was on Sean and me, we were investigating into the judge's murder. When Sean got home someone was waiting for him. They shot him twice. Right now he's fighting for his life," said John looking at Kenny.

"I can't make any promises, but I'll try to find out something for you. If it hadn't been for Sean, I wouldn't have my daughter back," stated Kenny.

"Do you think he will try to find out what he can?" Chris asked.

"I don't know," replied John pulling away from the curb.

Honolulu Hospital

"Max, are you all right? You've been very quiet sine we arrived at the hospital?" Linh asked looking at Max.

"I'm just worried about Sean. I thought that someone would of at least come out and let us know what's going on?" Max asked.

"I'll go see what I can find out okay, Max." Linh replied, walking to the nurses station.

"Max, what happened to Sean?" Jake asked walking toward her.

"Where's Nick?" Max Asked looking at Jake.

"He's coming in with Danny. Max, what happened to Sean?" Jake asked again.

"Sean asked me to meet him at the beachouse. I was on the balcony when I heard what sounded like someone falling. I went to check and found Sean laying in the doorway. He had been shot twice," explained Max.

"Has anyone told you anything yet?" Jake asked.

"Linh went to see what she could find," replied Max looking to see Danny coming down the hallway with Nick.

"Jake, what happened to my dad? Danny said that he got hurt?" Nick asking.

"He did get hurt, Nick. Do you remember how we talked about how your dad could get hurt because he's a cop," said Jake looking at Nick.

"I remember," replied Nick.

"Your dad has been hurt and right now the doctors are taking care of him," Jake explained to Nick.

"Is he going to be all right?" Asked Nick.

"We won't know till the doctors tell us, okay," answered Jake.

"The nurse said that Sean's in the OR and that the doctor will be out to let us know something as soon as he can," stated Linh sitting on the sofa.

"Max, my dad's not going to die is he?" Nick asked sitting next to Max.

"No Nick, he's not going to die," said Max putting her arms around Nick.

Honolulu Metro Police Dept

Agent Thomas walks through the door that led to Captain Harada's office. He's carrying a briefcase that contains the files of a man known as Frankie Silvano.

"I brought the information that you wanted ," stated Thomas opening the briefcase and handing the files to Harada.

"Do you believe that this man had Logan murdered?" Asked the captain.

"Yes we do, Logan was to be the presiding judge in our cases against Silvano. May I ask why your man was investigating the judge s's murder?' " Thomas asked.

"Sean was sixteen when he got into some trouble. It was Logan that he had to go in front of. He gave Sean an choice, ether prison or the military. He choose the latter. He feels that he would be in prison right now, if it hadn't been for the judge," said Harada.

Honolulu Hospital/ waiting room

"How much longer do we have to wait?" Danny asked.

"I see a doctor coming toward us," said John.

"I'm Dr. Rollins. Detective Harrison is being taken to recovery right now. We were able to get the bullets out. He lost a lot of blood. The first bullet just missed his heart by a fourth of an inch. The second one we were able to get it with no problems, but we may have another problem. He's gone into a coma, all we can do is wait and see if he comes out of it. He's going to be in CCU room 5 in about an hour or so. The nurse will let you know," said the Dr.

"Doctor, do you have the bullets that you took out of Sean?" John.

"The nurse has them for you, okay," replied the doctor walking away.

"John, we need to call the captain and have send some officers to stand guard over Sean's room," Chris said looking at John.

"You don't have to do that," stated Max.

"Max, we have to have a guard on his room," replied John.

"I know that. I called Eric and told him to send a security team here from the casino," said Max.

"Max, you don't have to do that," replied Danny.

"Yes I do. Terry is going to need every man he can get to find this guy. My guys can watch Sean. I have to do this...they could try again," replied Max looking at John.

"All right Max. I understand," said John looking at Max.

"Excuse me, they have moved Detective Harrison to CCU. I'm sorry, but only his family can see him right now," the nurse said.

"Jake, take Nick to his dad. We'll wait here," replied John.

Jake and Nick start to follow the nurse but Nick stops and turns to look at Max.

"I want you to come with me please, Max," said Nick holding out his hand.

"All right," replied Max taking his hand.

"John, are you all right?" Linh asked.

"I'm all right, but there's one thing I have to do and that's to find the person responsible for this, but we're doing it like we would back in Chicago," replied an angry John looking at Danny and Chris.

Honolulu Metro Police Dept/ Roll Call

Harada can hear the voices of his men as he enters the room. They are talking about what has happened to Sean.

"I know how you all feel. You want to find who did this. With a little help from a former associate, we know who did it, we just have to find him. Kaleo is passing out a picture of the man, that we are looking for," said Harada.

"John, do you know him?" Chris asked.

"Why did you ask me that," replied John.

"I saw this awful look on your face when you looked at the picture," Chris replied looking at John.

"I know him. His name is Frankie Silvano. When I left Chicago he was sitting in jail waiting for his trial to begin," replied John.

"He was till a few months ago. My source told me that the judge presiding over the trial was found dead in his car. A new judge was brought in but he had the trial rescheduled. Silvano's lawyer argued that he be allowed to be released on bail. The judge agreed. He set the bail so low that Silvano had no problems making it," said Harada.

"How did he get here?" Danny asked.

"They know that he jumped bail, but they had no idea where he fled to. The Fed's heard through an informer that there was a new guy on the island by the name of Joey Malina. He was trying to take control of most of the activity. The informer told the Fed's that this guy was trying to start a war," said Harada.

"So where does Judge Logan come into the picture?" Danny asked.

"Logan was a federal judge, only he could sign the warrants for the racketeering charges. The Fed's arrested Malina and others on those charges. My source told me, that at the arraignment, Malina's lawyer tried to get the judge to set bail but the judge denied it. Logan asked him to come to his chambers. He told them that the man they knew as Malina was really Silvano. A couple days later one of our officers found Logan dead in his car," said Harada.

"So where is this Malina now?" Asked Chris.

"He was being taken back to the States, when he escaped. They know he had help, but where is he now. They have no idea," replied Harada.

"That explains why the hit on us. We were investigating the judge's murder. Which means there would of been a reason to look for him," said John.

"I don't care what you have to do to find this guy, even if it means making a new enemy," said an angry Harada.

Honolulu Hospital/ Critical Care Unit

Linh steps out of the elevator and starts down the hall to the CCU. She opens the door and walks into the unit. She sees room five and starts to walk to the room. She is stopped at the door by the guard.

"I need to see your ID?" Asked the guard.

"That's no problem," said Linh pulling out her police ID.

"You're okay Officer Tamiya. We checked a little while ago and Max was asleep," said the guard.

"It's okay, I'm awake," said Max.

"Have you been here all night, Max?" Linh asked walking into the room.

"Yes," replied Max getting up from the chair.

"Max, I should tell you to go home and get some rest, but I know you wouldn't," said Linh.

"I wouldn't get any rest. I just need to stay here with Sean," replied Max.

"Where's Jake?" Linh asked.

"Jake took Nick home a few minutes ago. The doctor was here and checked on Sean. Except for the coma, he's holding his own. I told Jake that I would stay here," replied Max.

"Do you want me to get you anything?" Asked Linh.

"Miranda is bringing something for me, but thanks Linh," said Max.

"Call me if you need anything," said Linh walking out the room.

Max walked over to Sean's bed. She slowly picked up his hand holding it in her hand. Then she leaned over and kissed him on the forehead.

"I know you can hear me, Sean, you have to come back to us. You can't leave me now," cried Max as tears rolled down her face.

Honolulu Metro Police Dept/ A week later

"We have looked everywhere for this guy and still we can't find him," said a frustrated Danny.

"Have you two found anything?" Asked the captain walking toward them.

"So far nothing, we've had several leads, but they all turn out to be dead ends," replied Chris looking at the captain.

"There's no way for him to get off the island. All planes are being searched before leaving. The coast guard has all of the harbors blocked and searching every boat," said Harada.

"Hey John, where have you been?" Asked Chris.

"Kenny called me. He told me he went down to one of the local hang outs, to see if he could find out anything. Kenny said that he overheard some of them talking about the hit that was made on a cop. He said that he asked them if they knew who the shooter was. They told him that this guy was new to the island. One of the guys told Kenny, this guy has been bragging about killing a cop," said John looking at the captain.

"Hey John, a messenger just left this for you," said Kaleo walking over to John.

"Besides the messenger, Kaleo, are you the only one to touch this envelope?" Asked Harada.

"I took it from him, so no one else has touched it except me," replied Kaleo.

"Danny called Harper, tell her to come upstairs," said Harada looking at the envelope.

"What do you think it is?" Chris asked looking at the captain.

"What do you need?" Asked Harper walking into the room.

"This came for John by messenger. Kaleo took it from him," said Harada.

"So you telling me, that Kaleo's and the messenger's prints are on the envelope. You want me to open this too. It's a regular envelope used in deliveries. This looks like a message meant for John. They used words and letters from a magazine or newspaper. The message says Roses are red, violets are blue, your partner is dead and so are you. There are two headstones, one has Sean's name and the other one has your's," said Harper.

"Sean's not dead, so why the poem and the headstone referring to it?" Danny asked looking at John.

"He shot Sean twice at a point blank range. He saw Sean laying there on the floor, not moving. He must think that Sean's dead," replied John.

"If he believes that then he'll go after his next hit, and that's John," said the captain.

"So what does that mean? I'm his next target?" John asked looking at the captain.

"I have something to do. You two follow him everywhere just in case our shooter tries again," said Harada walking back into his office.

"Just sitting here doesn't help us find this guy. We need to start looking for him," said John looking at Danny and Chris.

"This is for you," said Kaleo handing John the vest.

"Are you joking?" Asked John picking up the vest.

"It's no joke, put it on," remarked Linh looking at John.

"Okay, I'll put it on," replied John putting on the vest.

Captain Harada's office

"Robert it's Terry, I need a favor?" Asked Harada talking on the phone. he explained what he wanted.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Asked Robert.

"I don't have any other choice," replied Harada.

"Okay, I'll be in contact with you. So you'll know what we are going to do," said Robert hanging up the phone.

Honolulu Hospital/ Critical Care Unit

The captain stood there patiently waiting as the elevator made it's way to the sixth floor. He stepped out of the elevator and started to walk down to the CCU.

"I'm Captain Harada. I came to check on Sean," said the captain looking at the guards.

"I still have to see your ID," said the guard smiling.

"Okay," said Harada showing the guard his ID.

"You're okay, captain," replied the guard opening the door.

"How's he doing, Max?" Asked Terry walking into the room.

"The doctor says that he is no longer critical, but stable condition. They think that he may be trying to come out of the coma. They saw him fluttering his eye lids," said Max looking at Sean.

"Max, I need to talk to you about something," said Harada closing the door behind him.

"Hey Linh, come here," yelled Kaleo from the other room.

"What do you want?" Linh asked.

"Why is the captain on TV?" Kaleo asked looking at Linh.

"Isn't that Sean's doctor with him? Who is he talking to on the phone?" Asked Linh

"My name is Captain Harada of the Honolulu Police Dept. A few days ago, Detective Sean Harrison was critical wounded in the line of duty. I'm here today, sadly to say that Detective Harrison has died," said Harada with a sad look on his face.

"You guy's need to hear this," yelled Linh at Danny and Chris coming into the office with John.

"The captain just released a statement from the hospital. Sean's dead. The doctor is saying something," said Kaleo.

"Detective Harrison died at 10:15 this morning from complications as a result of the gunshot wounds he received earlier this week. Detective Harrison never regained consciousness," stated the doctor.

"Captain Harada, do you know who shot Detective Harrison?" Asked the reporter.

"No, we don't know who the shooter was at this time. Detective Harrison was investigating the murder of federal Judge James Logan who was found dead in his car three weeks ago," said Harada.

"Captain, do you believe that the two deaths are some how connected?" Asked the reporter.

"Yes we do. So far we don't have any suspects. That's all the questions I can answer right now. Thank you," said Harada walking toward the elevator. He hears his phone ringing and takes it out to answer it.

"What you wanted us to do is done," replied the voice on the phone.

"Thanks," said Harada walking into the elevator.

"Did you hear what he said? Sean can't be dead," replied an angry Danny.

"We can't just sit here staring at the TV, Someone killed Sean and we have to find them, no matter what we have to do," said Chris with a mad look on his face.

"We can't just go out there, we need some kind of plan in order to find this guy. I'm his next target. We also know that Sean's investigation into the judge's death is why this happened. So we continue the investigation," said John looking at Danny and Chris.

"You're right, John. We do need a plan. The investigation into the death of the judge will continue. We are going to do something. I want all of you in my office right now," said Harada walking into his office.

"So what happens now?" John asked following the captain.

"The Governor called me, his office is offering ten thousand dollar reward for any information on the death of Judge Logan and Sean. He thinks it might help to jog someone's memory. The other thing has to do with the Fed's. They are going to do an island by island search for Silvano," stated the captain.

"What are we going to do?" Danny asked.

"You two are going to be watching John. Who is going to be trying to find out who killed the judge. The TV station is going to be making an announcement that John is close to finding the killer," replied Harada looking at a smiling John.

A House on Highway 1.

"You need to watch the news on the TV. You might enjoy it," said the heavy set man talking to the man standing at the window.

"We interrupt this program for late breaking news. Captain Terry Harada of the Honolulu Police Dept, released a statement a few minutes ago. Det. Sean Harrison has died from the gunshot wounds he received earlier this week. The Detective was working on a case involving the murder of Judge Logan. The captain believes that his detective was getting close to making an arrest in the case. More details later in our news cast," said the reporter.

"You're right, this just made my day. Now finish your job and kill his partner John Declan," replied the man smoking a cigar.

"He may not be as easy to get to as his partner. He's being watched by two other detectives," replied the red headed man.

A side door of the room opens and a short older man walks into the room. He is carrying a newspaper in his hand.

"What do you want, Henry?" Asked the man.

"I thought you might want to see this," said Henry handing the paper to the man.

"What is this, the governor is offering a reward for any information in the death of Judge Logan and the shooting of Det. Harrison. Federal agent Robert Thomas of the local bureau has announced that all agents will start arresting all known criminals over the next few days. Agent Thomas has ordered all outgoing flights canceled and the coast guard has been ordered to stop all ships and private boats from leaving the island," said the man throwing the newspaper.

"Now what do we do?" Asked the red headed man.

"You let me worry about everything else. You have a job to do. Henry, I need you to come here," yelled the cigar smoking man.

"What do you want?" He asked.

"I want you to go down to some of the local hangouts and just listen for me," replied the man.

"That reward could make any man talk to the right person," said Henry leaving the room.

"Max, are you here?" Yelled Miranda walking into the living room.

"I'm right here," answered Max closing the door behind her.

"I came over to see if you were all right? I heard about Sean," said Miranda.

"I don't know, I just feel numb all over. I was sitting next to Sean's bed when I heard this alarm going off. A doctor and some nurses came in. They worked on Sean for a few minutes and then they stopped. He told me that Sean's heart had stopped and they had tried everything, but his heart was too weak," said Max as she started to cry.

"Oh Max, I'm so sorry. I know how hard this must be on you," replied Miranda trying to comfort Max.

"Miranda, I wanted you to know that you don't have to come to the penthouse for the next few days. I'm going to spend some time with Nick," said Max.

"Will you let me know when Sean's funeral going to be?" Miranda asked picking up her purse and walking to the front door.

"I will Miranda and thanks," said Max closing the door behind her.

Manny's Coffee House

"How many guy's have we talked to already? And no one knows what we are talking about," stated Danny drinking the last of the coffee.

"How many more, do we have to talk to?" Chris asked looking at Danny.

"I don't know about you two, but I'm tired of being a target. I wish he would try something so we have an idea who it might be," said John from the back seat of the car.

"1050 Bravo, this is dispatch, the captain wants you to come back to the station. There's someone here who wants to talk to you," said dispatch.

"Probably another one that doesn't know anything. That reward is bringing out everyone but the right one," said Chris.

Honolulu Metro Police Dept.

"We were told to come back to the station, so why are we here?" Chris asked.

"Kenny came here a few minutes ago. He has someone with him that you need to talk to," said Linh pointing to the room.

"Okay, so let's go talk to Kenny," replied John walking over to the room.

"You guy's need to listen to what he has to say," said Kenny.

"So what do have to say?" John asked the man.

"I read in the paper about about what happened to Det. Harrison. I started thinking about this man that came in to my place last week. I own a bar just off Highway one. He had a few drinks and was talking to one of the girls at the bar. He was talking about how he had killed a cop and that he one more to kill," said the man.

"If you saw this guy again? Could you recognize him?" Asked Danny.

"If I saw him again, yes. There was something about him that made him different from anyone else. He had red hair" said the man.

"Has he been back since you last saw him?" Asked John.

"He comes in every night about 9:00 and stays till we close. He likes one of the girls. He asked her to go to his place. He told her that he lived a couple of houses from the bar," said the man.

"I think we just found our shooter," replied John.

"Now before the three of you get any ideas about looking for this house. The Fed's are already looking for it. I know you want to be the one to arrest this man, but they have jurisdiction over this because Logan was a federal judge. John you may not have to wear that vest much longer," said Harada.

"Captain, once they find the house, what happens?" Danny asked.

"Agent Thomas will call me and then you'll be able to assist in the raid," said Harada.

"We find the guy that did this, but it's too late for Sean," replied John with a sad tone in his voice.

"I just talked to Agent Thomas. He says to meet him on Highway one. They have the location of the house. What are you waiting for, move it," yelled Harada.

Max pours the last of the tea into the cup. It has been a long week. Right now the tea feels good as she drinks some of it. She sits the cup down on the table and lays her head down on the back of the chair. She closes her eyes and starts to relax, but then she hears the door to her bedroom open and her name being called.

"Call me, Max, it's just easier, okay," she said getting up out of the chair.

"I need your help please," said the nurse walking back into the bedroom.

"I'll be right there," replied Max slowly getting up from the chair.

Highway one

"Here's the plan. The house is being rented by a Joey Malina. The rental agency says that he has been there about six months. We just stopped a car leaving the house. He told us that he works for Malina. We already have men in position around perimeter of the house. The house does have security people. My guys have started taking these guys out. The back doors are covered by agents. We are going in the front door. If you have to shoot back, try for the leg or arm. We need these guys alive. Are we clear on what I just said?" Asked Thomas.

"We're clear," said John.

"This is Thomas, start moving in," said the agent over the radio.

Danny and Chris followed John as they moved across the yard to the front door. With one hit the battering ram opened the door. they followed agent Thomas into the house.

"Agent Thomas, this is Miller at the back of the house. Several men have come out of the back of the house," replied the agent talking on the radio.

"We haven't found Malina yet. I need some men to help in searching the house," said Thomas searching the house room by room.

"Robert, it's Miller, you need to come to the back of the house. We may have him out here," said Miller.

"John, you're from Chicago. Have ever seen this Silvano or Malina as he's calling himself now?" Asked agent Thomas.

"I was one of the arresting officers," replied John.

"Come with me. I need for to ID him. Miller is bringing all of them back into the house," replied Thomas.

John looked at each man as they were brought into the house. Then John saw a face he knew and started smiling as he stared at him.

"Agent Thomas... the guy next to the last one. That's Silvano or Malina what ever he wants to be called," said John looking at the guy.

"Now what do we do about the man he hired to kill Sean and John?" Asked Chris.

"That's no problem, agents stopped him down the road. He was coming back to the house when they got him," said the agent.

"I'm sorry to bother you again, Max, but I need some help," said the woman standing out side of the bedroom door.

"I don't know what I'm going to do," replied an angry Max into the bedroom.

"Do you see what I mean," said the woman.

"Where do you think your going?" Max asked looking at the bed.

"When I find my clothes, I'm going to the station," stated Sean trying to seat up on the edge of the bed.

"You're going to lay back down in that bed do you hear me," said Max.

"I hear you, but what are you going to do if I don't?" Sean asked smiling at Max.

"I can see that I'm not going to win this one. I'll get some clothes for you and help you get dressed, but you have to ride in the wheelchair down to the lobby and let my driver take you to the station okay," said Max.

"Okay, but can you tell me why I'm in your bed and not in the hospital?" Sean asked.

"It's a long story, I'll tell you one night when we don't have anything else to do, all right," replied Max smiling at Sean.

Honolulu Metro Police Dept.

"Agent Thomas, what are you doing here?" Danny asked.

"I thought that you might like to know why Silvano had Judge Logan killed. When Silvano was eighteen he was arrested on drug charges. At his trial the presiding judge was Logan. He was sentenced to five years in prison. Then Logan was offered a federal position as a judge here. When we arrested him a few weeks ago on racketeering charges, he asked his lawyer who the judge would be at his trial. He told him that it was Logan. It seems that Logan told Silvano that if he ever came in front of him again, he would put him away for life," said Thomas.

"That explains why he killed the judge, but why put a hit on us?" John asked.

"He was afraid that you would get to close to finding the reason behind the judge's death," replied Thomas.

"It's just not right. Why did Sean have to die, just so that he could cover up something from his past?" asked John.

"Who's dead?" Sean asked as Max pushed the wheelchair into the room.

"Sean's dead," replied John looking at the captain.

"No I'm not," said Sean coming closer to the desk.

"But the captain told us that you were," said Chris looking at Sean.

"It's a long story and Max is going to explain it to me, one of these nights," said Sean smiling at Max.
