When Stash Horvak's pregnant wife is brutally murdered, everyone believes that a Vietnamese gambling racket is behind it. However, as Rose investigates the murder, and falls for her partner, comforting him upon the death of his wife, she discovers a terrible truth. Stash cannot be the father as he is sterile, and a crime of passion has been staged to look like a vendetta.
