Slowly Moving!

I am slowly moving the archive over into the MB and EC Collections on AO3 as it has far better features for uploading, sharing, reading/downloading stories, searching... and is being maintained by a permanent bank of staff who LOVE fandom in all its many forms.

So if you notice stories disappearing off the Fiction Archive then FEAR NOT! They are not gone, just on the AO3 collection instead.

I'll update individual page links on Phoenix and UpClose as I move forward.

PLEASE CONTACT ME if you already have stories on AO3 and want to add them to either or both the MB and EC collections. Or edit the stories and type in Michael Biehn or Eric Close (or both!). The collections are moderated BUT I will approve as swiftly as I can :)

Cosmetic Site Update
Having just finished building the new GALLERY for the PHOENIX site, I decided to clean up the fiction archive's appearance too.

Hopefully, you will like the crisper finish to the archive. AS always, if you spot anything amiss then please contact me so I can fix it!

Happy 2013!
Another year gone and we are still here! Last year I merged in the Eric Close archive as there were too few stories unique to EC to make it worthwhile keeping two separate archives. I don't have any major plans for the fiction archive this year.

Happy 2012!
To all the readers and authors who visit this archive HAPPY NEW YEAR! May 2012 bring you every happiness...and lots of lovely fiction too :)

Merging Archives
By now you may have noticed that I have completed the merge of all the MB related Fiction archives into this ONE archive. This includes Adventure Inc, Hawaii and Magnificent Seven.

Note: As they are such small fandoms, ANY fiction from Adventure Inc and Hawaii can be archived here. They do not need to feature the Michael Biehn character.

I have merged in the ERIC CLOSE fiction archive too. ALL fiction for his TV show/movie appearances can be archived here as long as an ERIC CLOSE character has a central/pivotal role--with one exception named below:

MAG7: MAG7 stories MUST have Chris Larabee (or another MB character!) in a central or pivotal role in the story.

eFiction Upgrade
I've upgraded to version 3.5.3 to resolve a problem where the FULL list of an author's stories was not being listed beyond the first 25 stories. Many thanks to JOCNJNY for letting me know there was a problem!

Archive Merge
I have finished merging the Phoenix Fiction and Magnificent Seven archive. ALL the Michael Biehn stories are now in one place. If you spot anything amiss that you cannot fix yourself then please contact me using the CONTACT US on the left-hand menu.

Merging Archives
I am in the process of merging the Phoenix Michael Biehn Fiction with The Chris Larabee Fiction. Please bear with me while this work is going on. It's not straightforward and some of the merged MB fic will be out of sync until it is all completed.

SPAM Reviews
Due to a spate of SPAM getting past the Captcha code, I've been forced to turn off anonymous reviews. Damn spammers ruin everything for everyone :(

Character Names
Writers: Please select character names carefully!

If you are writing a story that has two or more characters WITHOUT a sexual relationship between them then select their names separately. Also, if there is mention of HET in the story then select the relationship pairing AND the het/smut warning. similarly for slash stories.

Example: If story has Chris and Buck but focuses on Chris's love for Mary then select Chris Larabee, Buck Wilmington, Chris/Mary

If the SEXUAL pairing is not a character listed then there is Chris/OFC (other female character) and Chris/OMC (other male character)

I know many readers select stories based on the characters and fiction type. If they are Chris/Vin fans then they will be upset reading a HET story, and if they are HET fans then they are NOT going to read something labeled as Chris/Vin (slash/homosexual fic)

Upgrade to 3.5.1
Hopefully, this should fix a recent problem with editing story chapters! Please let me know if you run into any problems as I am always willing to help.

Adding Chapters
For some reason, adding new chapters has been playing up a little. If you should get a message saying the chapter is too long/short then simply put the text into a file on your PC and use the file upload instead.

Spam on Reviews
Once more, the spammers have figured out a way to make us all miserable. This time they have attacked the Feedback (review) facility.

To prevent them, the only thing I can do is turn off anonymous reviews
