Adventure Inc - Episode 10 - The Plague Ship of Val Verde
Overview: The Adventure Inc. team is quarantined on board the Vast Explorer, by a military leader who is using them as incubators to develop a deadly strain of a potent virus.

While searching for the sunken remains of the legendary Ventura, Judson Cross and Mackenzie Previn encounter Luisa (Zoie Palmer) a young woman from Val Verde, a small tropical island off the South American coast, where the Vast Explorer is docked. Luisa is dying from a deadly virus and desperately turns to Mac and Judson for help. While attempting to alleviate the deliriously sick Luisa, they too become infected and are quarantined on board the Vast Explorer, which is sealed inside of giant plastic bubble by order of Colonel Fortunas (Frank Pellegrino), the small country's military leader.
Dr. Leah Kelly (Ellen Dubin) a world-renowned epidemiologist and her husband Dimitri (Stephen Bogaert) are commissioned by Fortunas to find a cure for the deadly virus. She has already created a preventative vaccine of which there is only enough of to inoculate the key political leaders of Val Verde and herself. She tends to Luisa and takes blood samples from her as well as the Adventure Inc. team in an effort to study the disease for a cure. However, between Fortunas and Dr. Kelly, the plan is not to find a cure, but to use the trio to incubate enough vaccine to protect all the citizens of Val Verde.
Luisa succumbs to her illness and dies. Guarded by Fortunas' subordinate, Lieutenant Morales (Manny Arruda), The Vast Explorer sits under its protective plastic bubble, which has paralyzed the ship's telecommunications equipment. Trapped, the trio slowly begins to feel symptoms of the deadly virus.
In the meantime, Dimitri who is also embroiled in the vaccination scheme, works with his wife on creating enough vaccine for all Val Verdeans at the expense of the lives of the Adventure Inc. team. Dr. Kelly, however, is simultaneously working on trying to find a cure. The husband and wife team work tirelessly throughout the night. Dr. Kelly successfully produces a vaccine which can reverse the mutation of the virus. But she also discovers that her husband has secretly been working on the opposite; he's developed a pure virus which makes the disease even more deadly. Remorsefully, he admits that Fortunas has blackmailed him into creating the deadlier virus or risk having his parents', who are still living in Chechnya, security compromised. He also threatened to send his wife back to her home country to face charges on a containment breech which resulted from a molecular genetics test that killed innocent people. Fortunas, who brought Dr. Kelly and Dimitri to Val Verde under the guise of producing a vaccine for the deadly virus that plagued his country, really had plans to use their talent to create a super virus that he could use as a biological weapon of mass destruction.
In order to thwart Fortunas plans, Dr. Kelly and Dimitri flee but first save the Adventure Inc. team by inoculating them with their curing serum. They reveal Fortunas' intentions and seek help. In turn, Judson, Mac and Gabriel set out to the rescue. They storm Fortunas' headquarters and apprehend him. Judson contacts the US Consul and Fortunas is summoned to face a tribunal. Dr. Kelly and Dimitri agree to cooperate with the authorities in order to bring Fortunas to justice. The Vast Explorer is freed from its plastic bubble and heads out to sea on course for their next adventure.
