Well, here is my answer to the DRABBLE challenge...and I did go over the 100 words by 25...LOL...
Chris Larabee stared hard at the man he had just pulled his Peacemaker on. In an instant it could have been over. But Raphael had saved Inez's life, just as easily as Chris could have ended his. His finger stayed, not tightening on the trigger. The statement made "who knows what tomorrow will bring" ringing in the gunslinger's ears.
No one knew the future, as attested to the tragedy suffered by the man in black. Chris had long ago given up wondering what would happen tomorrow. Now he just lived for today and for the six men he called family. But Raphael's words had given Chris pause. Who knew what would happen tomorrow, but whatever it was Chris Larabee would not have to face it alone.
